Black Squirrels Squelch Princes Offense in Shutout Win
|
The skies opened up and the rain fell at The Nut House.
The Tree City Black Squirrels had to overcome a big game from Bel Air left fielder Brady Harrison to leave The Nut House with a 4-0 victory. Harrison was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 34-23 with this latest triumph.
In the bottom of the second inning, first baseman Jay Liburdi came through big-time for the Black Squirrels. With Tree City leading 1-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Liburdi told the Tree City Gazette.
