Dancin' Outlaws Turn Back Brisbane, 2-1

The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws eked out a 2-1 win versus the Brisbane Bush Wackers at Baylor Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Takeo Takano, who captured player of the game honors. Takano went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-7. The Dancin' Outlaws bumped their record to 30-28 with this latest triumph.
The Dancin' Outlaws got a big at-bat from second baseman Egbert Peper. For the game, Peper was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 52nd hit of the season gave West Virginia a 2-1 lead.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Brisbane manager Pete Barrett said following the tough loss.
