Cyclones Prevail, 4-2, Over Charleston
|
The exploits of center fielder Clifton Leclair, who is tied for 7th in the BOL in triples with 3, helped the Coney Island Cyclones defeat the Charleston Panthers, 4-2. Leclair went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Steve Misiak converted his 8th save in 9 tries. The Cyclones sit in 5th place in the Lyman Bostock League Dick Williams Division with a record of 26-30.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Jerry Soto didn't flinch. With the bases loaded and Charleston trailing 4-2, Soto retired Andrew Leibowitz to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Soto, with a wink.
