The rain at Waterfront Park did not keep So Cal and Portland from finishing their game.

The So Cal Republic defeated the Portland Beavers, 8-5. Earning player of the game honors was right fielder Noam Foucher, who was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times. The winning continues for So Cal, with the latest making it 7 straight.

So Cal used a timely hit from Héctor Cabrera to get the win. The second baseman delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the fourth inning to put the Republic on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It feels good to get this one," Cabrera told the So Cal Times.
