The Okanagan Lake Monsters defeated the Kingwood Knights, 6-2, in Lyman Bostock League action at Elks Stadium, with Okanagan pitcher Eric Sanford named player of the game. The losses continue to mount for Kingwood, which has now dropped 7 in a row.

Robert Gartz helped out the Okanagan cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-run home run. For the game, the catcher went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Okanagan manager Bhim Varuni. "Our pregame was pretty good."
