River Chiefs Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus St. Paul
|
The Chippewa River Chiefs topped the St. Paul Saints, 6-2, in Lyman Bostock League action at The Reservation. The player of the game was Chippewa pitcher and Fukui, Japan native Kazue Fujita. Fujita got the win, improving to 4-6. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Fujita allowed 2 earned runs. Brad Ide saved it for Chippewa.
Ryan Agee aided the Chippewa cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Agee called the win "a collective effort."
The River Chiefs bumped their record to 30-24 with this latest triumph.
