Tree City starter Rudy Cortez pitched effectively against the Eugene Emeralds at The Nut House. The right-hander led his team to a 7-1 win. Jorge Domínguez locked down his 2nd save. The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 31-21 with this latest triumph.

Cole Capone, who leads the AHL in doubles with 15, aided the Tree City cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
