Dancin' Outlaws Turn Back San Angelo, 5-3
|
The San Angelo Mustangs got a superb performance from pitcher Joe Kearns, but the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws still won the game, 5-3. Kearns was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings allowing 5 runs. Kenny Moran earned his 18th save in 19 tries. West Virginia occupies second place in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division at 26-25.
Mitsunori Nauert had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Dancin' Outlaws. Coming up with a runner on 1st and West Virginia trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run home run.
Nauert told a West Virginia Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
