Tree City Black Squirrels starter Jun Zhou was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Nichols Gnats, 4-2. Zhou, now 4-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 1 earned run. Earning his 16th save of the year was Cory Kieck.
The Black Squirrels got a big at-bat from left fielder Pete Leggett. For the game, Leggett went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Tree City a 3-0 lead.
