Palm Beach played host to Charleston at the friendly confines of Envoys Ballpark.
Getting an impressive start from Hitoshi Miyahira, Palm Beach beat Charleston by the score of 5-2. Miyahira got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Miyahira allowed 1 earned run.
The Bums got a big at-bat from shortstop Iván López. For the game, López went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season gave Palm Beach a 2-1 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," López told the Palm Beach Times.
