The Eugene Emeralds picked up a win at The Barn, knocking off the Winfield Warriors, 2-1. On the mound for Eugene was left-hander Elias Ortiz, who played a pivotal role in the win. Eugene reliever Ángel Velázquez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Danny Reliford took the loss. The 4th-place Emeralds are now 24-25, the Warriors 15-32.

Cheol-chung Back made it 2-1, Eugene, in the top of the tenth when he hit a sacrifice fly. It was a big at-bat in the Emeralds win.

"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Back.
