Armada Lose, 5-2, at McNichols Stadium

The Mile High Mustangs topped the Quebec Armada, 5-2, in Thurman Munson League action at McNichols Stadium. The player of the game was Mile High pitcher and Yokohama, Japan native Rintaro Shinoda. In 5.2 innings, Shinoda surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. Rodolfo Reyes nailed down his 1st save.
Jen-djieh Chen, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2026, helped out the Mile High cause in the bottom of the second inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 1 with a hit by pitch. He drove in 2 runs.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Chen told the Mile High Chronicle.
The Mustangs bumped their record to 27-26 with this latest triumph.
