Victory Over Saints Takes Brisbane to 34-14
|
The Brisbane Bush Wackers relied on the hitting of second baseman Dave Evans to stop the St. Paul Saints, 9-6. For the game, Evans went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Aaron Lyons earned his 3rd save in 8 tries. Brisbane leads the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division by 8 games.
Nelson Marcial, who is tied for 5th in the AHL in doubles with 11, aided the Brisbane cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the second. For the game, the catcher went 1-2 with 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs.
