Boise beat Bel Air at Grand Canyon Valley Park, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Francisco Martínez, who earned player of the game honors. In 8 innings, Martínez surrendered 12 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. Earning his 1st save for Boise was Jim Unknown.
Victor Hernandez aided the Boise cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the catcher drove in one run.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Bel Air manager Leland Austin.
Boise, now 18-28, holds 5th place in the Lyman Bostock League Earl Weaver Division.
