Earthquakes Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Bombers
|
The San Francisco Earthquakes picked up a win at Bomber Ballpark, knocking off the South Carolina Bombers, 3-1. On the mound for San Francisco was right-hander Donkal Ubriani, who played a pivotal role in the win. The 5th-place Earthquakes are now 20-33, the Bombers 28-24.
Jorge Zamora, who is tied for 3rd in the TML in bases on balls with 36, chipped in for San Francisco with a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Zamora said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
