The Princes had to overcome a good performance from Westside pitcher Adell Anders to claim a 3-0 win at Philip Banks Field. Anders went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. The save was Shayne Cluff's, his 2nd. Even with the win, the Princes have a dismal 16-31 record.
The Princes got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Wayne Steiert. For the game, Steiert was 1 for 1 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Bel Air a 2-0 lead.
Steiert told the Bel Air Herald: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
