The Victoria Vikings beat the Winfield Warriors, 6-4, at The Barn. Victoria catcher Ernesto Santiago earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. Had Scott Corkum not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Corkum hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Vikings.
