Toreros Get Road Win, 6-3

Spirited fans at "The Fort" at B.C. Place greeted the Vancouver Pioneers for their clash with the Cabo San Lucas Toreros.
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros picked up a win at "The Fort" at B.C. Place, knocking off the Vancouver Pioneers, 6-3. On the mound for Cabo San Lucas was right-hander Joey Steamer, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 8 innings, Steamer surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. Amirtharaj Nagaraja nailed down his 10th save.
Damian Hoolahan chipped in for Cabo San Lucas with a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Steamer.
The last-place Toreros are now 20-33, the Pioneers 24-29.
