|
The Brisbane Bush Wackers got a stellar effort from pitcher James Stevens, helping Brisbane score a 5-0 win over the visiting St. Petersburg Pelicans. The winning pitcher was Stevens, now 3-3. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 11. Brisbane is now 31-14, 7 games up in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division.
Nelson Marcial, who is rated as the 61st best prospect by BNN, aided the Brisbane cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher went 2-4 with 2 doubles.
