Bush Wackers Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus St. Petersburg
|
It was a fun time at Baylor Ballpark, where the St. Petersburg Pelicans and Brisbane Bush Wackers tangled.
The Brisbane Bush Wackers took St. Petersburg pitcher Eddy Johnston's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Baylor Ballpark. The final score had Brisbane getting past the Pelicans, 6-3. Johnston went 6 innings and allowed 3 earned runs, striking out 9. Aaron Lyons earned the save, his 1st, for the Bush Wackers.
Angel Apodaca helped out the Brisbane cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 3 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
Apodaca called the win "a collective effort."
