García, Shade Too Much for Frosties
|
Fans who gathered at The Blizzard Bowl saw a good contest between the Stroudsburg Shade and Barrow Frosties.
The Stroudsburg Shade defeated the Barrow Frosties, 5-3, at The Blizzard Bowl. Stroudsburg first baseman Héctor García was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Stroudsburg is 17-25 and Barrow, with the loss, 23-21.
García contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Stroudsburg in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, García took a curveball from Guglielmo Tomei and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Shade to leap in front, 5-3.
"Feels good to get the job done," García said after the game.
