Princes Lose Again, 8-5, to Emeralds
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Cheol-chung Back, the Eugene Emeralds defeated the Bel Air Princes, 8-5. Back was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Emeralds. Eugene reliever Cristo Cruz picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Chris Corey absorbed the loss. Cody Mason got the save, the 1st for him this season.
Marcos Moreno, who is tied for 3rd in the AHL in triples with 3, aided the Eugene cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder was 2-4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Back.
Bel Air has now lost 7 in a row.
