Hornets Jolt Sting with Late Rally
Glenn Sternlicht did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Houston Sting from losing, 6-4, to the Bethesda Hornets at Woodland Park. Sternlicht went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Bethesda reliever Javier Sánchez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Jeff Van Wormer was saddled with the loss. Bethesda leads the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division by 6 games.

The Hornets got a big at-bat from left fielder Antonio Aguilar. For the game, Aguilar went 1 for 2 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Bethesda a 5-4 lead.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Aguilar said.
