Hickey Helps Tree City Cruise to 10-2 Win
With second baseman Travis Hickey leading the charge, the Tree City Black Squirrels defeated the Westside Road Warriors, 10-2, at Road Warriors Field. Hickey, who is tied for 6th in the AHL in triples with 2, went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Rudy Cortez, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 3 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 2-0. Doug Fox nailed down his 1st save.

Hickey had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the first inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Black Squirrels went on to win.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Hickey told the Tree City Gazette.

The Road Warriors, now 18-23, have lost 4 in a row.
