Ruiz Leads Jedi Knights to Win over Bloodhounds
With right fielder Edwin Ruiz leading the charge, the New Orleans Jedi Knights defeated the Boise Bloodhounds, 13-4, at The Republic. Ruiz, who leads the BOL in RBI with 34, was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Jason Ball was credited with the save for New Orleans, his 2nd of the season. The Jedi Knights bumped their record to 21-18 with this latest triumph.

Ruiz had a key at-bat for New Orleans early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and gave New Orleans an early 2-0 lead.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Ruiz said.
