Multi-HR Day for Mora as Pelicans Overpower Dancin' Outlaws, 7-5
With left fielder Omar Mora leading the charge, the St. Petersburg Pelicans defeated the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 7-5, at Billy Mathews Field. Mora, who is tied for 7th in the AHL in extra base hits with 14, belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Ryokan Endo, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 5 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 9. His record now stands at 2-3. Jaiden Harris nailed down his 7th save.

The Pelicans got a big at-bat from shortstop Brad Davis. For the game, Davis went 1-3 with 2 walks. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 25th hit of the season gave St. Petersburg a 2-1 lead.

"I'm not out here to win a beauty contest," said Mora. "Obviously."

St. Petersburg, now 16-23, holds 4th place in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division.
