DeWoody Helps Hornets Run Win Streak to 3
|
The Bethesda Hornets topped the Westside Road Warriors, 6-4, with center fielder Jamie DeWoody playing a big role. DeWoody was 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Hornets in the win. Bethesda is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The Hornets got a big at-bat from right fielder Mario Yescas. For the game, Yescas went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Bethesda a 3-1 lead.
"The clubhouse can get insufferable after we lose, so I'm glad we pulled this one out today," Yescas told the Bethesda Daily News.
