Knights Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Cyclones
The Knights grabbed a win, 2-1, at Stable Park, overcoming a fine effort from Coney Island pitcher Francisco Valdez. Valdez went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Josh Crowe, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 10th save. The Knights bumped their record to 20-19 with this latest triumph.

Had Ben McGaughey not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, McGaughey hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Knights.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Knights manager Justin O'Day, "I like our chances."
