Frosties Score Late to Upend Dancin' Outlaws, 1-0

The Barrow Frosties faced a tough opponent in West Virginia pitcher Yasukatsu Yonemura, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Penlee Park by a final score of 1-0. Yonemura went 7.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Ryuhei Akamine was credited with the save for Barrow, his 3rd of the season. Barrow is now 22-18, West Virginia 20-17.
The Frosties got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Melvin Garza. For the game, Garza was 1-1. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 12th hit of the season gave Barrow a 1-0 lead.
"We squandered some opportunities," said West Virginia manager Enrique Ramírez.
