Winfield Warriors starter Augusto Pacheco turned in a top-notch performance against the New Orleans Jedi Knights at The Republic. The result was a win for the Warriors, 4-2. Even with the win, the Warriors have a dismal 10-25 record.
The Warriors got a big at-bat from pinch hitter David Morales. For the game, Morales was 1 for 1 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Winfield a 3-1 lead.
"I thought we played a nice game," Morales told the Winfield Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
