Gnats Prevail, 7-6, Over Boise
|
Grand Canyon Valley Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Nichols Gnats and the Boise Bloodhounds.
Josh Tatham did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Boise Bloodhounds from losing, 7-6, to the Nichols Gnats at Grand Canyon Valley Park. Tatham went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Nichols is now 17-20. Boise is 13-22.
Nichols needed the clutch hitting of Brent Senatore to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Gnats on top, 4-2. For the game, Senatore had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Senatore, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
