Bombers Get Close Win Over Earthquakes
|
The South Carolina Bombers picked up a win at Bomber Ballpark, knocking off the San Francisco Earthquakes, 5-4. Starting pitcher Ange Schmit, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. San Francisco now has a 8-game losing streak.
Steve Lindsey was the walk-off hero for South Carolina. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bombers first baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Lindsey said.
