Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Trevor Goldsmith, the Nichols Gnats defeated the Victoria Vikings, 9-5. Goldsmith went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Gnats. With the win, the Gnats improved to 15-19.

Tsuneto Ezaki, who is tied for 2nd in the BOL in home runs with 8, helped out the Nichols cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the first baseman drove in one run.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Ezaki.
