Brisbane turned a good effort from starter Grant Huffman into a win over the Barrow Frosties at Baylor Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. Huffman went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 13. His record improves to 2-2. The save was credited to Danny Posada, his 10th.
The Bush Wackers got a big at-bat from shortstop Mario de Leon. For the game, de Leon went 1-3 with a double and was hit by a pitch. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Brisbane a 3-2 lead.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Brisbane manager Pete Barrett.
The first-place Bush Wackers have won 4 in a row.
