Emeralds Fall to .500 After Loss to Road Warriors
|
The Westside Road Warriors got a strong performance from pitcher António Aguilar, who stymied the Eugene offense en route to a 6-2 win at Prefontaine Park. Aguilar, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up no walks. The Emeralds drop to 16-16 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2033 season.
Brandon Dawson aided the Westside cause with a 2-run single in the top of the third. For the game, the left fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 4 RBI.
In postgame comments to the Westside Today, Aguilar said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
