Victory Pushes Hornets Record to 21-10
|
The Okanagan Lake Monsters got a superb performance from pitcher Luis González. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Bethesda. The Hornets won the game, 5-4. In spite of the loss, González was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball. Jamie Morgan earned save number 12. The Hornets, now 21-10, have been on a roll in the early going.
Andrés Morales, who leads the AHL in bases on balls with 29, aided the Bethesda cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman went 1-3 with 2 walks.
"We take it day by day here," said Morales, "and today was a good one for us."
