The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements at Stable Park enjoyed themselves.
The Bel Air Princes got a sterling performance from pitcher T.J. Sparks, but the Knights still prevailed, 4-3. Sparks was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Kingwood reliever Tony Mejía picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Shayne Cluff shouldered the loss. Josh Crowe picked up the save, his 7th.
Kingwood took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, right fielder Hirofumi Ishibashi hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Ishibashi said.
The Princes fall to 13-16 and continue their lackluster start to the 2033 season.
