Benefiting from Adrián Ferreira's productive game, the Chippewa River Chiefs downed the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 8-6. Ferreira went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the River Chiefs. Jeff Stephens, the winner, improved to 2-0.
