Jedi Knights Bang Out 8-2 Win Versus Westside
|
The exploits of shortstop Mario Tovar, who is rated as the 96th best prospect by BNN, helped the New Orleans Jedi Knights defeat the Westside Road Warriors, 8-2. Tovar went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Jason Ball got the save, the 1st for him this season. The Road Warriors fall to 11-16 and continue their lackluster start in 2033.
Curt Sweet, who leads the BOL in RBI with 23, chipped in for New Orleans with a 2-run home run in the top of the second. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"I felt we were ready to go," said New Orleans manager Mason Eilers. "Our pregame was pretty good."
