It was a fun time at Tim Raines Stadium, where the Nichols Gnats and Stroudsburg Shade tangled.

The Stroudsburg Shade got a stellar performance from pitcher Sergio García, who handcuffed the Nichols offense en route to a 8-0 win at Tim Raines Stadium. García, the winner, moves to 1-2. He threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk.

Gerald Easler aided the Stroudsburg cause with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the catcher went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"We'll enjoy this win," said García. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The Gnats fall to 12-15 and continue their uneven start to the 2033 season.
