Bloodhounds Jolt Saints with Late Rally

The Boise Bloodhounds downed the St. Paul Saints, 8-7, at Grand Canyon Valley Park. Kevin McVey led the way, going 2-for-3 for Boise. Boise reliever Jason Loer was credited with the win, to go to 3-2. Justin Beltrani took the loss for St. Paul. Boise, now 7-16, is off to a slow start.
Dave Garza, who is tied for 9th in the BOL in home runs with 4, chipped in for Boise with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
"We take it day by day here," said McVey, "and today was a good one for us."
