The inspired effort of Boise center fielder Mario Ozuna was not enough to prevent a 5-4 loss to the St. Paul Saints. Ozuna went 3 for 3 with a triple, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Boise, at 6-16, is off to a poor start in 2033.

The Saints got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Luis Pena. For the game, Pena was 1-1. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 3rd hit of the season gave St. Paul a 5-4 lead.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Pena said.
