Black Squirrels Stun Frosties, 7-5
|
Starting pitcher Terry Duncan pitched well enough to help the Tree City Black Squirrels beat the Barrow Frosties by the score of 7-5. Losses have been few and far between for the Frosties so far this season. Their record drops to 16-8.
The Black Squirrels got a big at-bat from first baseman Jay Liburdi. For the game, Liburdi went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 2nd double of the season gave Tree City a 7-4 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Duncan said.
