Tree City got a terrific game from catcher Ramon Abreu. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Barrow, 1-0. Abreu was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. Devon Labonte closed the game out for Barrow, earning his 6th save. The Frosties, now 16-7, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Barrow center fielder Bill Corkum contributed to the cause with a single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Corkum was 1 for 4.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Barrow manager George Alexander Lewis.
