Hornets Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Bush Wackers
|
It was a fun time at Hornets Field, where the Brisbane Bush Wackers and Bethesda Hornets tangled.
The Brisbane Bush Wackers got a sterling performance from pitcher Dario Reyes, but the Hornets still prevailed, 2-1. Reyes was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. Losses have been rare for the Bush Wackers, who are now 14-6.
Eduardo Rosário was the walk-off hero for Bethesda. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hornets catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"It was a solid team effort," said Rosário after the game.
