Panthers Fall Short at New Orleans
|
New Orleans Jedi Knights starter Katsutaro Nishikawa was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Charleston Panthers, 5-4. Rich Owen, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1 innings. The Panthers fall to 8-12 and continue their uneasy start to the 2033 season.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when New Orleans left fielder Leamon Evans, facing Naozane Kato, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Jedi Knights the 5-4 win.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Evans said.
