Multi-HR Game for Goldsmith in 9-7 Win
The Nichols Gnats topped the Charleston Panthers, 9-7, with youngster Trevor Goldsmith playing a key role. Goldsmith slugged 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Gnats in the win. J.J. Cassidy got the win, improving to 3-1. He held the Panthers to 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 4. The save was credited to Jack Wirtz, his 1st.

Goldsmith had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Gnats went on to win.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Goldsmith told the Nichols Citizen.

The Panthers fall to 8-11 and continue their lackluster start in 2033.
