Shade Jolt Princes with Late Rally

The Stroudsburg Shade stopped the Bel Air Princes, 6-5, at Tim Raines Stadium. The Shade got a big game from Tim Mathews, who was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Jose Vasquez earned save number 4. The Princes fall to 7-11 and continue their lackluster start in 2033.
Mathews had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-0 fastball from Toru Saito, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Shade a 6-5 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Mathews.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Mathews told the Stroudsburg Observer.
