Tetsui Ohayashi made an impact in the 9-4 Bethesda win over St. Petersburg. Ohayashi, who is tied for 9th in the AHL in home runs with 3, went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Bethesda reliever Zeke Barnes picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Marlon Douglas took the loss. Bethesda, now 11-7, has gotten their season off to a good start.

The Hornets got a big at-bat from left fielder Antonio Aguilar. For the game, Aguilar went 2 for 5 with 2 singles. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 13th hit of the season gave Bethesda a 5-4 lead.

Ohayashi expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
