Benefiting from Bill St.john's productive game, the St. Paul Saints downed the San Angelo Mustangs, 6-2. St.john belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Saints. The Saints raised their record to 9-5.

St.john had a key at-bat for St. Paul early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and gave St. Paul an early 3-0 lead.

"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Clyde Bowman. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
